Studio Lighting and Portraiture Research Types of Light Ambient Light-  Available light in an environment. Low-key lighting, a photographic technique using a single key light. Main Light-  the main light that illuminates the subject being photographed or filmed. Fill Light- a supplementary light used in photography or filming that does not change the character of the main light and is used chiefly to lighten shadows. Diffused Light- is a soft light with neither the intensity nor the glare of direct light. It is scattered and comes from all directions Ceiling Bounce- rather than firing your flashgun pointing directly at your subject, you point it elsewhere typically up or at an angle, bouncing off a wall or ceiling. Name Banner For my name banner, I used different things around my house that looked like letters to make my name. Some examples of the objects I used were: a dog toy, faucets, chair legs, windows and shelves. I found it very hard to find all the letters that I needed to make my name but with the help of my two siblings, I managed to find all of the letters that I needed.
